Radiation on the UFO's landing site

In 2001. an UFO landed on a mountain that is around 10 kilometers from my house, all grass was burned and rocks were completely black in a huge circle. It was on the ground for about 2 minutes. I’ve read that places where UFO lands are polluted with radiation like the Chernobyl. So my question is – how long that radiation lasts, and is the landing place still ionizing like it did in 2001.?
I regret not having a camera at that moment so unfortunately nobody believes my story. Geiger counter is quite expensive here, used ones are around 350 EUR, but I guess that I can rent one.
So, is it possible that the landing site is still polluted with radiation 13 years from the initial landing?
