Fireball Stuns Drivers, By-Standers 1-30-16


     FALLS CHURCH, Va. (WPVI) — Dozens of witnesses spotted a white-hot fireball as it streaked across the skies of the Northeastern United States.

The meteor could be seen Saturday night from Washington D.C. to Ohio.

Reports of the meteor began around 6:17 p.m. as it flashed into view over the Northeast U.S., being seen from Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Michigan and Ontario, Canada, according to tweets.

Alex Salvador was behind the wheel in Falls Church, Virginia, traveling westbound when he spotted it.
